Hippy Music Festivals

As the weather gets warmer, all the hippy festivals begin announcing who is playing and why you should come to their frestival as opposed to one of the other 1,000 they have every summer. Most of the festivals have announced acts, and below is my breakdown of each festival.

Bonnaroo
-Highlights - Bob Weir and Rat Dog, Widespread Panic, Trey, Allman Brothers Band, Government Mule, Keller WIlliams, OAR, Umphrey's McGeeBela Fleck Trio, Yonder Mountain, Jurassic 5, De La Soul, Dave Matthews Band (boo) The Mars Volta, Iron and Wine, Particle, STS9, Kings of Leon, RJD2, Modest Mouse, Xxavier Rudd

Summer Camp
-Highlihgts - 3 nights of moe, Keller Williams, Umphrey's McGee, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Victor Wooten Band, New Monsoon, Leftover Salmon, JMP, Mofro, Oteil

Hookahville
-Highlights - The Wailers, Particle, Robert Randolph, Galactic, Sam Bush Band, Brandon Creaseman, Ralph Stanley, and Ekoostik Hookah (duh...)

10,000 Lakes
-Highlights - Widespread, Trey, Rusted Root, DSO, Particle, STS9, Jazz Mandolin, MOFRO, Everyone Orchestra feat Steve Kimmick, the Breakfast, G. Love & Special Sauce
-# Bands - 20
-Price - $110

Lollapalooza
-Highlights - Rumors of Beck, Widespread Panic, and Kings of Leon, but still rumors.
-# Bands - (Supposedly) 70 bands
-Price - Had $35 tickets, but sold them out in 80 mins. So unknown.




*NOTE* All this is going to change somewhat. Bands will join festivals between now and then, and it's even possible for bands to drop off festivals right before they happen. So be warned: Nothing is set in stoone.
