Random Fact of the Day

So my last update was Thursday, mainly because I went out of town. Friday afternoon, I didn't do a damn thing. I'm pretty sure we stayed in or around bed until I went into work at 9, which I was dreading. I was supposed to work 9 pm - 5 am, but got out at 11, so I knew I had to celebrate. Kari came over and I convinced her we needed tequila shots, so we picked up a 6-er of Labatt's and a pint of Sauza Tequila with a lime. Took a few tequila shots and drank a couple beers, watched a DVD, and next thing I know, I wake up on the couch in the main room at around 11:15 am or so.
This would have been fine, but I was supposed to leave to visit Geoff in Bad Axe at around 10-11, so I was already late. (and a little hungover) So I left for Bad Axe eventually and must say it was not an easy drive at all. I was tired and hungry and I had overlistened to every one of my CD's, so I was just watching the miles go by, bored out of my skull. However, eventually I made it.

I arrived at around 3, and we grabbed some Pizza Hut, and the Hut in Bad Axe has beer, always a plus. So after Pizza, Geoff took off for work and I watched Live 8 on the couch, waiting for Pink Floyd to come on. Next thing I know, I wake up and look at the TV to see Paul McCartney singing "Hey Jude" with every performer on stage with him as the big finale to live 8, totally fell asleep and missed Floyd. Anyways, played some games and chilled while until Geoff got back at around 11 or so from work. He made a promo for this new job he's applying for, and it sounded so good. It started with some country rocking and then it stopped and Homer said, "NEVER EVER STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF A HOE DOWN!" It was a great promo, sounded like something you'd hear on the radio. Anyways, we chilled and drank a few beers until about 3am or so, then woke up and played some games after the ritualistic Big Boy breakfast. We got sick of hanging around the apartment and decided to go swimming at Caseville, which was packed. There was so many people on the beach, but it was really nice to go swimming still.

I left at 4 and made it home around 6:20, traffic was really good on the drive home. I was supposed to work at 7, but there was a message for me to come in at 8, so I grabbed a quick nap before work. I went into work and damn was it dead. We made $14 in an hour, that's four orders in an hour. Soooooooo, I chilled at work for a bit and did essentially nothing until I got sent home at 11, so I headed out to Kari's place. We went to sleep around 7 am and woke up some time around 12:30, maybe 1. We had a wonderful evening (and morning) together, with a large dinner at IHOP this morning. My pancakes were orgasmic, I have literally never had pancakes so fucking good in my 21 and a half years of existence. After food, I camne and took a shower at 2:30 or so, and now it's about 3:30 and I'm about to head out to Brighton to cut the lawn and perhaps catch some Kensington fireworks. Other than that, everything's been cool. Work's been dead every night and I had a great time in Bad Axe, I just wish I could have stayed longer. However, I hadn't seen Geoff in ages, so it was great to finally catch up with him. Anyways, always remember...

A warm bath is a cheap vacation.
